The vampire diaries is the upcoming drama from the CW Network of television shows catered to teens.  The series revolves around the character Elena Gilbert who is a normal young high school girl.  She is beautiful, popular and desirable: known and loved by all in her school.  She attracts the attention of the new mysterious boy; Stefan who moves into the town of Mystic Falls, Virginia.
