I read these books many MANY years ago. I fell in love with them. When I found out that they made this into a show, I was completely excited. Last nights pilot episode was great! I loved every piece of it, including the music! This looks like a great series and I look forward to the next episodes!

My favorite part was when they were talking about her parents car accident and he stopped her and said, “You won’t be sad forever Elena.” Too Cute.

It was awesome! a lot better than i thought it was going to be.

i read the books and loved them and the series is just as great cant wait for the next episode

Love it. I’m about to pur the pilot on my ipod. It was really better than I thought it would be…and much better than the Twilight movie so go figure. Yay for Thursdays!

well i read this series of books… they have made ALOT of changes.. that i dont care for .. the charcters resemble nobody in the books.. they added alot of new ones… and changed to many …just hate how they try and make a series from the books… yet completely step on half the story line by all the changes… its watchable… but dont expect it to be anything like the books… because its not.

boring, just like the books. aimed at teenagers, so i guess they will like it.

It was AWESOME! It´s a bit different from the book, but I liked. Ian Somerhalder is perfect as Damon, he´s so hilarious I love him!

Uber-Twilightish, which isn’t a bad thing but feels somewhat plagiarised. It brought to my attention that there are books. Another bonus. Tweenish sex scenes seem like product placement to sell a story that should sell itself. At least Twilight was a proponent of abstinence, refreshingly. I love vampirism and will continue to watch. Hoping for a better moral to the story though.

This pilot episode was so great, I love every piece of it, every time that Stefan looks Elena you can see and feel love, they’re amazing actors, both of them!!! My favorite part was when they were talking on the bridge about Elena’s parents and when he said “You won’t be sad forever Elena” my God! it was so beautiful! and the end, when she finally invite him to come inside her house, oh! so great!

I have the books and love most vampire movies (minus Buffy and angel..thats my preferance) The writting for the series is much different than the book however it is very beleivable and good writting! I personally have fallen for all the characters minus maybe the mayor and the Sherif. Stefan and Elena are amazing and Dammon is just off the charts funny. The Satire is increadable and I can not wait for the next season to wind up. I did watch wesley in Wolf Lake and Loved him so this is great with him as a lead character. This Break is killing me!

I think twilight is much much better than this fake thing. I you really wanna see a good vampire-love story go and see twilight and new moon. You’ll see what i mean

Well, I don’t know so much about “Vampire Diaries” but I’m sure that the vampires have written them. Those like Damon that is me and Stefan, my brother.

Its a bit different from the book, but i like it better Yeah, I agree it was way believable than the book. I Love Damon! He’s so funny and wicked. Team Damon go!

I think the show is WAY better than the books! I mean c’mon; the books were almost written 15 years ago; it was a different atmosphere! I love how they took the general storyline and sort of built onto it! And you gotta admit, Damon is pretty FINE!!!!!
